Overview
Royal Hunt (“we”) makes the Royal Hunt card game for Android and the web. This policy explains what information the game stores, why, who helps us run it, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your personal information.
What we store
- Your player profile: the display name and picture you choose, your Player ID, level, Clovers, Gold, Gems, honor and items, your match history and results, your friends and friend requests, and your clan.
- Where you play from: the country (and, in India, the state) you choose when you set up your profile, used for country and regional leaderboards. We don't detect it from your phone.
- Optional profile details: gender, age, PIN / postal code, interests and “About you”, only if you fill them in (Profile → Edit details). Interests and “About you” show on your profile; age and gender show only if you turn on their switches; your PIN code is never shown to other players. Your country and state help match you with nearby players in Quick Play.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, email address, name and Google profile photo address, so you can sign in again on any phone and keep your profile. We only ask for basic profile and email access.
- Messages: private chats with friends (the last 60 messages of each chat, for 30 days at most) and the most recent clan chat messages, so you can read them later. Offensive words are hidden automatically. We never use private messages for advertising or marketing.
- Gem purchases: if you buy Gems, the Google Play order number, the pack, the time and whether it was refunded, so we can give you your Gems once and help with any problem. Payment itself is handled by Google Play: we never see your card or bank details.
- Gifts and likes: the Gold and Gems you send to or receive from friends, and the likes you give, so daily limits and “one like per game” can be applied.
- Feedback and reports: what you send us from Mail → Send Feedback, including reports about other players, and our replies.
- Game activity: sessions (when you are connected and playing), sign-ups, level-ups, matches started, finished or left (roles, Gold, Clovers, items used), rooms, ads watched, and every change to your Gold and Gems with its reason. We use this to run the game fairly, balance rewards, find bugs, stop cheating and compare how the game does over time. It is kept for as long as Royal Hunt runs.
- Safety records: if a player is blocked or warned for breaking the rules, the reason and date.
- Sign-in token: a random token stored on your device that keeps you signed in.
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, a notification token from Google so we can tell your phone about friend requests, invites and gifts when the game is closed.
Ads
The game offers optional rewarded ads (for example, watch an ad for Gems or a Royal Spin) from Google AdMob. A rewarded ad is shown only when you choose to watch one. The app also shows small banner ads on some screens (not while you have a Royal Pass). To show and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device such as the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and how you interact with the ad. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). From Google we receive only a confirmation that you finished an ad, so we can give you the reward.
Our websites, royalhunt.in and testers.royalhunt.in, may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies there to show and measure ads (personalised or not, depending on your choices); you can manage this at Google's ad settings. Ads are marked “Advertisement” and never placed next to buttons or forms.
Tester sign-ups
When you sign up on testers.royalhunt.in we store your name, the Google (Gmail) address you use on Google Play, your phone model and Android version and, if you give them, your city, state and how you heard about us. We use them only to run the test: to add you to the Royal Hunt tester group, to contact you about test builds and to see which phones the game runs on. They are kept until the tester programme ends or you ask us to remove them (email us); signing up again with the same address updates your details.
What we don’t store
- Voice chat goes directly between the players' devices. When a direct connection isn't possible, it passes through an encrypted relay server. It is never recorded or stored.
- World chat and room chat are passed between players live and are not saved.
- We do not collect your contacts, your precise location, your photos or files.
How the information is used
To run the game: matching you with other players, showing your name and picture, keeping your progress, friends and clan, delivering messages, invites and notifications, giving rewards, answering your feedback, and keeping the game fair and safe.
Who helps us run the game
- Hosting providers run the game server and the database where profiles and game activity are kept, and the encrypted relay for voice chat when players can't connect directly. Everything between the app and the server, chat included, travels encrypted (HTTPS and secure WebSockets), and the database is encrypted at rest by its provider.
- Google: Google Sign-In, AdMob ads and phone notifications.
They process information only to provide these services. Your data may be processed on servers outside India. All connections to the game server are encrypted (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
Your profile is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account it closes straight away and is kept for 60 days so you can restore it, then deleted for good. Game activity records are kept for as long as Royal Hunt runs, so we can see the game's whole history; once an account is deleted for good, its records are no longer linked to a name, picture or Google account. Private messages between friends are deleted for good after 30 days, and each chat keeps only its last 60 messages; clan chat keeps only the most recent messages. In a private chat you can tap Clear to remove the conversation for yourself at once; messages both friends have cleared are deleted from the server straight away. Deleted messages also disappear from our database provider's short-term recovery copies when their recovery window ends, within 7 days.
Your choices
- You can play as a guest without signing in.
- You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings, and you never have to watch an ad.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time with Delete account in Settings → Connect (you have 60 days to restore it), or ask us to: see Delete your Royal Hunt account.
Children
Royal Hunt is for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
